BLUE FORTUNE
by Christian Vermorel
“We are always in a hurry to be happy, [...] for when we have suffered a long time, we have great difficulty in believing in good fortune.”
- Alexandre Dumas, “The Count of Monte Cristo”
Fiercely elegant BLUE FORTUNE proposes what freedom and personal honor smell like. Opening with fruity and herbal top notes reminiscent of ocean waves, it transitions straight into alluring floral heart and woody base notes. The perfume draws inspiration from the French novel “The Count of Monte Cristo” by Alexandre Dumas, which tells the story of unfairly incarcerated Edmond Dantès, whose tenacity, patience, and meticulous planning help him avenge his past and find a new happiness.

“When creating the perfume composition of BLUE FORTUNE, I immersed myself in listening to the songs from ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’ musical with music by Frank Wildhorn and lyrics by Jack Murphy, adapted from the book by Alexandre Dumas (père). The musical is quite bold and astonishing which helped me to ascend to the appropriate state for the creation of BLUE FORTUNE. The resulting fragrance is graceful as well as adventurous.”
