Eternally fresh VETIVER MYTH awakens the innate desire for adventure. Bold yet delicate herbal top notes are followed by a green heart tinted by incense that dissipates into a base built around warm amber, sensual musk, and mythical vetiver. The spicy yet sophisticated composition was inspired by the 13th-century travelogue “The Travels of Marco Polo,” in which the eponymous traveler recounts his twenty-year journey through Asia and the time spent on the royal court of Kublai Khan.

“I built this composition with enigmatic notes to symbolize the discovery of new and mysterious landscapes just as Marco Polo did during his travels. As he traveled to China, VETIVER MYTH opens on an osmanthus and tea. I followed the ‘Silk Road’ of creamy sandalwood and the musk tones with the ‘Spice Route’ of pink pepper, ginger, and saffron. I also used smoked incense to bring something spiritual and intriguing. This fragrance can give you the desire to explore the world or yourself–that’s the reason why the vetiver, with its scent of roots, is at the heart of the perfume.”
